Holiday Schedule

  • No collection on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Days
  • Service resumes on the next regular scheduled collection day

Recycling Guidelines

  • Use the Best Trash 18-gallon bin (1 per household)
  • Extra recycling: in 30 to 50-gallon containers or clear bags (≤ 40 lbs.) 
  • Paper (including cardboard)
  • Plastics (1-5, 7)
  • Aluminum and Tin Cans
  • Glass (all colors)
  • Cardboard is recyclable. Please break down all boxes flat and place them next to the recycling container for collection.

Accepted Recycle Materials

CONTAINERS: EMPTY & CLEAN, LOOSE

  • Glass - clear and colored
  • Aluminum cans
  • Aluminum foil
  • Aluminum foil plates/ serving containers
  • Plastic bottles, jars, tubs and buckets (such as soda, water, milk, juice, liquor, shampoo, detergent, condiments, salad dressing, yogurt, margarine, pet food, etc)
  • Plastic grocery bags
  • Styrofoam containers / packaging
  • Metal food cans (tin & steel)
  • Metal food can lids
  • Metal pots and pans

PAPER: DRY & CLEAN, LOOSE

  • Newspaper & inserts
  • Magazines & catalogs
  • Junk mail, envelopes, file folders
  • Office white, colored and computer paper
  • Corrugated cardboard boxes
  • Cereal & gift boxes, etc (that tear, brown or grey)
  • Paper bags & phone books
  • Wrapping paper
  • Milk cartons
  • Juice cartons
  • Wax coated boxes

Overflow

If you have more recyclable material than what fits in the provided Red bin, you are welcome to use a container of your choice (i.e. Rubbermaid tote, trash can with lid and wheels) as long as the container is clearly labeled "RECYCLE"

Trash Guidelines

Resident supplies trash container sized between 30-50 gallons

Extra trash: in 30–50-gallon containers or bags (≤ 40 lbs.)

Best Trash will NOT collect the following items:

  • Construction debris, dirt, rocks, bricks, tile, concrete

  • Tires, batteries, motor/cooking oil, hazardous materials

  • No liquids in hidden containers (e.g., paint, gasoline)

Yard & Bulk Waste

Yard & Bulk Waste:

  • Collected on both service days

  • Yard waste: Bundled (≤ 4 ft long, ≤ 4 in diameter, ≤ 40 lbs.)

  • Bulk items: Furniture, appliances, mattresses, carpet (1 room max, cut & bundled)

  • Refrigerated appliances: Must be drained with proof of service
